How was ASEAN Wonderful

The Association of South East Asian Nations or more commonly known as ASEAN is a political and organic organization aimed primarily at promoting economic growth and regional stability among it's member countries (Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia and Vietnam).

For me, ASEAN is a very nice way not just for easy transportations in  countries but also in getting informations from each other. They have cooperation in each other by improving and being ready for their own country.

PHILIPPINES:The culture of the Philippines is a combination of cultures of the East and West.[1] The Philippines was first settled by Negritos; today, although few in numbers, they preserve a very traditional way of life and culture. After them, the Austronesians arrived on the archipelago. Today, the Austronesian culture is strongly evident in the ethnicities, languages, cuisine, music, dance and almost every aspect of the culture.

BRUNEI:  Islam is the official religion of Brunei; Muslims make up over 78% of the population. The Constitution of Brunei states that "The religion of Brunei Darussalam shall be the Muslim religion according to the Shafi'i sect of that religion.

INDONESIA:The present day culture of Indonesia is an outcome of the interplay of age-old- traditions from the time of early migrants and the Western thought brought by Portuguese traders and Dutch colonists. The basic principles, which guide life include the concepts of mutual assistance or "gotong royong" and consultations or "musyawarah" to arrive at a consensus or "mufakat".

SINGAPORE:For three weeks in June every year, the Singapore Arts Festival - which aspires to be an international arts event with a distinctly Asian identity - brings together great local and overseas works and artists who seek to inspire, challenge, surprise and entertain.

MYANMAR: Novitiation ceremony is the unique characteristic in Myanmar. This ceremony usually celebrates during the school holidays, mostly in summer holidays at March & April before the water festival. In the Myanmar tradition the boys are compulsory to enter the Buddhist order for a week or more.

MALAYSIA:Cultures have been meeting and mixing in Malaysia since the very beginning of its history. More than fifteen hundred years ago a Malay kingdom in Bujang Valley welcomed traders from China and India. With the arrival of gold and silks, Buddhism and Hinduism also came to Malaysia.

LAOS:Laos is geographically isolated and mountainous, bounded by the Annamite Range in the east, forming a traditional political and cultural boundary with Vietnam (a more Chinese influenced Sinitic culture). Much of the western borders of Laos are formed by the Mekong River which provided the major means of inland trade despite limited navigability along the river’s length.

THAILAND:Thailand is nearly 94%-95% Theravada Buddhist and other religions.
Thai Theravada Buddhism is supported and overseen by the government and monks. The traditional customs and the folklore of Thai people were gathered and described by Phya Anuman Rajadhon in the 20th century, at a time when modernity changed the face of Thailand and a great number of traditions disappeared or became adapted to modern life.

CAMBODIA: Cambodians have developed a unique Khmer belief from the syncreticism of indigenous animistic beliefs and the Indian religions of Buddhism and Hinduism.

VIETNAM:The culture of Vietnam is one of the oldest in Southeast Asia, with the ancient Bronze age Đông Sơn culture being widely considered one of its most important progenitors. Due to a millennium of Chinese rule, Vietnam was heavily influenced by Chinese culture in terms of politics, government, Confucian social and moral ethics, and art. Vietnam is considered to be part of the East Asian cultural sphere.

This is what ASEAN helped and improved their countries. By having their own cultures and traditions and every one have cooperation how they can make it farther .
